The theme for this assignment was flora and fungi. I've chosen to focus my attention on the captivating realm of fungi, inspired by the documentary 'Fantastic Fungi' on Netflix, which explores fungal networks and their role in tree communication. My exploration led me to study layered mushrooms such as turkey tail and oyster mushrooms, classified as Polypores. I am fascinated by the distinct angles and shapes each layer of these mushrooms exhibits, contributing to a fluid composition. This inspiration has led me to design a bangle bracelet that captures the essence of these intriguing natural forms.
